In November of 2003, Westside Animal Hospital launched a Needy Pet Fund in response to an increasing number of seriously injured and critically ill pets without owners or resources for life-saving care.

With the help of this fund, we have treated hundreds of pets and found loving homes for most of them. The Fund is supported entirely through donations and discounted services offered by Dr. Peter De Waal. Many thanks to all who have supported, and continue to support, this effort to help our community’s needy pets.

“Bella” was brought to Westside Animal Hospital with a severely broken leg that eventually required amputation. She was relinquished to us and was in foster care for a time, came back to us, and then finally found a loving home.
